In the replate flask the protocorms are spaced out and given space to grow. This is when they start to look more like real plants. With the fresh media full of nutrients, the plants really start to grow and look more like miniature versions of the parents. Depending on the genus and how fast they are growing the plants will typically stay in the replate flask for about 3 months. For most this is more then suffcient before being transferred yet again into the final replate flask.
