Found in Sabah, Malaysia. Hot to warm grower, consider free flowering. Sweet scented with lemon smell very fresh. Often indicated as a synonym of Bulbophyllum lobbii; however, Bulbophyllum claptonense, can be distinguished from B. lobbii by the large lump on the labellum (lip).
