Cattleya leopoldii is a close relative of C. guttata.
Often seen as Cat. guttata var Leopoldii
Both are coastal species
Cattleya leopoldii has a more southern range on the coastal plains of S�o Paulo to Rio Grande do Sul States
The plants are often found attached to shrub trees on the beach sand dunes
Usually produces about 20 flowers per spike
flowering season being November-January for Cattleya leopoldii
Warm to Intermediate Grower.
Enjoys Very Bright Shade
