Aerides (a-er-EE-deez)

Aerides species can be found from India east to Papua New Guinea, and north to China and the Philippines. Best grown on mounts or open baskets, which will accomodate their large root system and pendulous inflorescences of fragrant flowers. They prefer intermediate to warm conditions (50-90F) with direct morning light or very bright shade. Year around watering and regular feeding, with non urea orchid foods, such as Grow More Orchid, give best results.
