The word 'seedling' refers to a orchid produced from seed (pollen (male) from one flower, placed on the stigmatic(female) tissue of another or self), not artifically mericloning or meristeming, which produces an example copy of the orchid. Seed crosses have the same parents but the progeny can look quite different. Orchids produced from seeds may have similar flowers, or very different flowers depending on the genetics of their parents. As such, each seedling plant will produce an unique flower for those who wish to have one of a kind plant. Each seedling is slightly genetically different from its siblings. Therefore, any photos of a cross shows only one example of the cross and are not intended to be an exact representation of the cross.
