Bakerara (Bak.) is a man made hybrid between Brassia, Miltonia, Odontoglossum, and Oncidium. The grex Bakerara Everglades Hunter is Colm. Jungle Monarch by Brs. Edvah Loo. The clone 'Swamp Buggy' was awarded an AOS Highly Commended Certificate of 79 points in 1985. At the time of the award the clone bore eight flowers and six buds on one inflorescence. The natural spread of the flowers was 7.9 cms. The grex was originated and registered by Everglades Orchids of Florida in 1982. Bakerara Everglades Hunter is easily grown and has a wide temperature tolerance.
