First described by Ridley in 1907. If maintained in the section Cirrhopetalum, the correct name would be C. concinnum Hook. f. 1890. Bulbophyllum pulchellum is widespread in Malaya, and possibly into Thailand. Late summer bloomer, usually with 10-12 flowers in an umbel inflorescence, typical of the section Cirrhopetalum.
